Our Vision

Our vision as a charity is to deliver engaging, quality, relevant, holistic and age appropriate RSE to young people. We do this through assemblies, classroom workshops, small groups and one to one mentoring in school and community settings. We want to see young people thriving in their personal development, in their relationships and in their gifts and abilities. We are passionate and dedicated in being part of their journey into adulthood. As part of our vision is the desire to equip schools, parents and the wider community to engage with young people in a way that is relevant, empowering and protective.

If we want to leave our world a better place, we have to invest in the lives of those we are leaving it to! There is an old African proverb that say’s “It takes a village to raise a child” and so as an organisation we are all about collaboration and working in cohesion and partnership with like minded people and organisations to see out that vision.

“We exist to help young people feel more in control of their actions. To be engaged with their emotions, more invested in their community, more aware of their value, more confident of their values, more inspired by their potential, more empowered by their hopes, more informed in their choices and more committed in their relationships”.

 - Kayleigh Butler, Founder & Director

Safeguarding

We all have a moral duty to protect children from maltreatment. Safeguarding young people is LVA’s foremost responsibility.

We endeavour to instil in each young person an understanding of their value and worth. We do this in the way we treat them - with dignity and respect - the content of our teaching and our safeguarding commitments.

We are trained to identify physical, sexual, spiritual, emotional abuse and neglect and will always report known and suspected cases of abuse. You can find a condensed version of our policy on our website, however we are happy to provide our full safeguarding policy upon request.

If you have any safeguarding queries, please contact our designated safeguarding lead, Lydia Anderson at lydia@lvatrust.org
